Children who have behavioral disorders often have limited ability to make correct, independent decisions and are often significantly influenced by their senior colleagues. Unfortunately, children who have behavioral disabilities are sometimes socially ostracized by their classmates. This has depressing effect and subsequently hinders the academic progress of them.![]() Attention deficit, and Speech and communication disorders are different types of behavioral disorders. Kids with such disorders are typically perceived as behaviorally confused and dazed. They often do not understand social stresses. They tend to be either hostile or apathetic. This problem can be dealt with psychological counseling. A student who has prolonged temper tantrum may also have behavioral disorders. They often show oversensitivity to criticism and react with negative feeling. Some may exhibit depressionwith metal agony. ADHD It is described as a set of symptoms showing inattention in over doses, and impulsive responding within the context of what is developmentally appropriate for child’s specific age and sex. The symptoms of ADHD are depicted by a child’s inability to sustain a response long enough to accomplish assigned tasks. Often they exhibit such behaviors as stealing, lying, being aggressive, and violating rules. Additionally, their seniors reject them because of their hostility, head-weight bossiness, intrusiveness, and low levels of tolerance for others. Academically, ADHD, children are at high risk for underachievement, exhibiting such actions as being noisy and disruptive, being frequently out of seats, and defaulters of class work, homework and other types of school work.. The remedy for ADHD is medication. The children who respond to prescribed medication often experience improvement in attention and memory, and are less disturbing to others, keep better relations with near and dear ones. Children, who do not respond to medication, need the intervention of special teachers and professionals. |
