| Teaching profession is the noble profession. We know that. Society respects teaching community. Teachers work for the all-round growth of the students. For Teachers school is the abode of Teaching. For students too school is the abode of learning. Children are the future citizens of the country. Neglect of the children mean, neglect of the nation. Weaker children mean, weaker nation. Beating the children mean, beating the future citizens. Use of violence on children, breeds violence in their minds. We should protect the environment of the child. Teachers’ method of teaching should be child-centered. Student’s participation in classroom discussion is must. A student should be encouraged to ask questions. Schools and Hostels are not reformatories and Jails. The essence of teaching is not boredom. Schools are not Academic shops. A school without a play ground has no right to exist. A student is more important than the school time schedule. The end result of the school is not the examination. No two students are alike. A child is born not to full fill our expectations. Without understanding the child, learning does not take place. We pretend we have mastered everything about the child. Completion of the syllabus is not be all and end all. Teaching has no meaning without teaching aids. Modern infrastructure alone does not mean quality education. Computers and laptops are not the substitute of teachers. Rankings are abolished. Grading of the children is universally acceptable. Holistic education is the order of the modern day. Everything we know as teachers we do not know. — G.C. Rao
