    To enter this field a person must qualify the entrance examination for the bachelor’s course.

    • BDS – Bachelors in Dental surgery course ( Four years course plus a calendar year of residency).
    • MBBS – Bachelors in Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) course ( Four and Half year plus a year of House surgency/ Internship)

    Mere graduation doesn’t give any credibility to become a good doctor. In these modern times the doctors have to go for specialization and super specialization such as Post graduation ( MD/MS/MPS/MCH/PG Diplomas)
    • Selection Procedure:
    Through entrance test. Date for the competitive examinations are published in the national dailies.

    The Central Board of secondary Education, New Delhi conducts an All India Entrance examination for admitting candidates to 15% seats for the MBBS and BDS programmes in Medical and dental institutes managed by the Government and Municipal Local authorities in India.

    Entrance examination either in Hindi or in English: The Central Board of Secondary Education conducts entrance Test (Objective type of questions) in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at 10 + 2 level

    All aspiring candidates should be Indian nationals. Besides, the age should be 17 years on 31st December of the year of admission. Only the passed candidates of Plus Two examination or any other qualifying examination with 50% marks ( 40% for SC/ST ) in aggregate marks in English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology; Or the candidates who have cleared B.Sc. with any two subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology ( Botany & Chemistry ) with 50% marks and Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English passed at Senior Secondary examination.
